While sitting in a remote cave and meditating all day can be pushed aside as a life of a monk, none of us can disagree that peace of mind is essential for living as a normal, healthy human being.
Unless peace of mind becomes our priority there is no way we can experience it. There will always be something else that gets our attention first.
Like any other skill, cultivating inner peace needs dedication, practise and time. Again like any other skill, once you reach a state where you start experience inner peace on a regular basis, the benefits will ripple out into all aspects of your life. Needless to say, your life satisfaction, your creativity and ability to focus will skyrocket!
Now very honestly answer this question to yourself. Do you deserve to live in peace? If you find yourself thinking, the answer is that your subconscious does not feel so. This is a good time to take a look at your self worth and build it up.
If your answer was an immediate 'yes', its time to set up a routine that can lead you to your goal. I wish I could say otherwise, but in my experience, the only way to achieve a deep sense of peace is by practising meditation of some form. The style is yours to choose!
If you are interested in learning to meditate, or enhance your meditation come along to Finders Keepers Journey on 17th March. If you have any questions or need help, do reach out to me or someone you trust.
